After I migrated my system to the new laptop, the voice recorder stopped working. When I open it, only the mic button shows up in the center, with no other menus. When I click the button, it just grays out and nothing happens. I've attached screenshots for your review.
I've updated the sound driver, re-installed the app and resetting the app, but no luck.

Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

    1. May I please know the default audio input device selected in the system sound settings?

Go to Start > Settings > System > Sounds > Choose your input device.

Provide us with the screenshot if possible.

In Sound settings, ensure your microphone is set as the default recording device:

Right-click the speaker icon > Sound settings

    Under Input, check:

    The right device is selected

Tap the mic – see if the volume bar moves

Click Device properties > Test mic

Update the audio driver from the support site of the manufacturer

Press Win+R, type "services.msc", find "Windows Audio" service and restart it

Can you check the issue with a different microphone (if possible)

    Try a different USB port.

Try a different voice recorder app from Microsoft store.
