Does Azure DevOps Charge for Email Notifications and Are There Any Limits?

Hi Team,

I’ve been using Azure DevOps for managing my CI/CD pipelines and notifications, but I couldn’t find any information regarding potential costs for email notifications (e.g., build success/failure alerts).

Can someone confirm whether sending these notifications incurs any additional charges beyond the standard pricing for Azure DevOps services?

Additionally, are there any limits on the number of email notifications that can be sent (e.g., daily/weekly limits)?

If possible, could you also share any official links or documentation that clarify these points?

Email notifications are part of Azure DevOps' built-in functionality and are covered under your existing plan. Whether you're using Microsoft-hosted agents or self-hosted ones, notifications like pipeline status updates, work item changes, and code reviews are free to send. Sending email notifications for build success, failure, or other alerts does not incur extra charges.

There is no Microsoft official documentation stating this. But However, excessive notifications can lead to email throttling or spam filtering by your organization's mail server or client/

    For billing purposes, we can confirm that Azure DevOps email notifications are included at no additional cost, regardless of the volume of emails sent right?..
