Dear Roman,
Thanks for the clarification, your reply is worth for us to do further investigation.
There is one more workaround, that I think we could try.
If you cannot fix the Fn key, you can replace its functionality using software. This is the most practical solution to get the F1 - F12 keys back. You can use a different, unused key combination to trigger them using Microsoft PowerToys. This is an official Microsoft tool that is powerful and easy to use.
- Install Microsoft PowerToys from the Microsoft Store or from GitHub.
- Open PowerToys and go to the "Keyboard Manager" utility.
- Enable Keyboard Manager.
- Under "Remap a shortcut," click "+ Add shortcut remapping".
- In the new window:
- Under "Shortcut:", click "Type" and press a combination you want to use, for example, Win + 1.
- Under "Mapped to:", select F1 from the dropdown menu.
- Click OK.
- Repeat this for
Win + 2->F2,Win + 3->F3, and so on for all the keys you need.
Now, pressing the Windows key + a number will act as your F-keys.
I wish this could help. If you have any further questions, we are happy to assist.
