  • DHCP is set to disabled
  • No IP is configured op the storage RDMA NICs

We ere able to identify the issue with the following 2 commands:

    ping -S 169.254.33.26 169.254.170.215 ping -S 169.254.54.176 169.254.60.22

Cabling was correct, but the labels on the NICs were switched.

After updating the labels all validation steps were successful.

    Autoconfig .pdfThanks Jan

Here's included the screenshots of the ipconfig related to he storage NICs SLOT5 PORT1 and SLOT6 PORT1 . We just have the autoconfig IP assigned. Are there any other suggestions to overcome this error ? Thanks / Fabio

We have the same problem, and been at this for a few days without progress. We have 3 nodes STORAGE NIC1 and Storage NIC2 on each server are connected to VLAN 711 and 712 respectively. All nodes are the same. The Storage NICs have an APIPA address. No VLAN set on the NICs. We start the deployment and all the the times we get errors like these

'ValidateNetwork' of Role 'EnvironmentValidator' raised an exception: { "ExceptionType": "json", "ErrorMessage": { "Message": "Network requirements not met. We didn't configure static IP config on the storage NICs.

DHCP was disabled and an APIPA addresses was auto-assigned to both NICs.

The only issue was a cross-label issue of the NIC names

    Hi Jan Claes

Ensure that the storage RDMA NICs are properly configured. Since DHCP is disabled, you need to assign static IP addresses to the storage NICs and verify that the IP addresses assigned to the storage NICs are in the same subnet and can communicate with each other.

Assign static IP addresses to the storage RDMA NICs on both hosts and also ensure that the subnet mask is correctly configured.

Here in your case, Go to each node (AZURELOCAL1, AZURELOCAL2) and Assign static IPs to STORAGELAN_1 and STORAGELAN_2 on both nodes like 192.168.100.x/24

After configuring the static IP addresses, test the connectivity between the storage adapters using the ping command from each host

    Hope this helps!

Please Let me know if you have any queries.
