There is no Pinyin input option, as there is no Pinyin Keyboard on the Keyboard list. Why?

Hi, thanks for reaching out. Based on your category, I understand you’re on an Android phone. Don’t worry, this can usually be fixed with a few settings changes.

    1. On your Android device, go to Settings > System > Languages & input > On-screen keyboard.
    2. Select Gboard or your current keyboard app.

    Tap Languages > Add keyboard.

Scroll down and select Chinese (Simplified, Pinyin).

Once added, switch input methods by long-pressing the spacebar or tapping the globe icon to choose Pinyin.

If you are using the Microsoft SwiftKey Keyboard, the steps are:

Install Microsoft SwiftKey from the Google Play Store.

Go to SwiftKey settings > Languages > Add a language, then download Chinese (Simplified) and choose Pinyin as the layout.

For reference, here are Microsoft’s guides:

If, after adding it, the option still doesn’t appear, let me know which keyboard app you’re using (Gboard, Microsoft SwiftKey, Samsung Keyboard, etc.), and I’ll provide exact steps.

Also, kindly confirm if this setup is on an Android phone or in Windows PC.

    All the best!
