This is ridiculous. Microsoft Bing’s rewards system is flat-out broken, and it’s wasting my time. My searches aren’t counting toward my points like they should—half the time the counter just sits there doing nothing, or it randomly decides to skip searches entirely. If I’m putting in the searches, I expect the points. Period.

And don’t even get me started on the absurd waiting game. I should be able to knock out my daily searches in one sitting, but instead I’m forced to wait half an hour or more just to earn the next handful of points. Who thought that was a good idea? This isn’t “rewards”—it’s punishment for actually using the service.

I’m not here to jump through hoops. I’m not here to be treated like I’m trying to game the system when I’m just doing normal searches. If Microsoft can’t get something as basic as counting points right, then what’s the point of even using Bing? Fix it.

You 100% nailed it. Support plays dumb and craps out canned useless responses. It's always done this but the last few years have been far worse. Might be AI theses days. And they wonder why bing so hated. 😒 I only use this garbage for points otherwise I would never touch it. 🤬

What’s ironic is their attempt at weeding out the scammers only really frustrates folks like myself who used Bing rewards from the beginning and have remained loyal all these years. I’m not a programmer but I would venture a guess, any half decent programmer could write code that can check in over the course of the day to finish earning the points. I bet the real scammers have not missed a beat. Only folks like me who were lured in many years ago from using Google to do search’s. Honestly, I prefer Google, I’m loosing patience and I’m starting to think maybe it’s time for a change. I switched from windows to Mac OS years ago, I will give it a bit more time and may drop Bing but I will keep the account for my Xbox.

Obviously, Microsoft has been overcome by weasels and their "rewards" can be frustrating because of the flags they put on me. I'm just playing their game and they don't like it. So what if I search Snofalofigus et al, I should get credit even if I search faster than their perimeters say I should search. Please Microsoft, I've been on the internet since Al Gore invented it. :)

Agreed. Rewards has become an absolute joke. Banned or suspended for accusing you of violating the ToS, yet you follow the rules to the letter. You finally get rid of the cool-down timer, go to redeem and get told you're suspended.

They remove your associated phone number randomly and when you go to re-add it, they tell you it's already in use and cannot be used again. SO you have to get a new number or reach out to someone who has never associated their number with a Microsoft account. They'll have you jump through every hoop just to deny you.

Up to 2 hours a day to complete the daily searches and offers, another 2-4 hours a month struggling to get you payout (if you're lucky). All to get a $5.00 gift card they likely won't give you anyway.

Do not use Bing. Do not let your family use Bing. Do not let your friends use Bing. It is a borderline scam.

Very frustrating indeed. My account, which I had for over 10 years, was flagged almost a year ago. "unusual activity". Customer service is non-existent. And all I ever get is some canned email, same wording every time. Not sure what to do other than to use Google (which is even worse in terms of tracking and selling data than Bill Gates), or move to Brave.

6 support tickets in just under 4 weeks of this %# and no help at all. Just a useless canned automated response blowing smoke up my @%! every time. 🤬 AI labeling us all as AI. The irony is sickening! After over 15 years of putting up with their garbage it's worse than ever. Which is no easy feat, but they managed to top themselves. 😒

I wonder if users with a low point balance are getting the same treatment. I can tell you people with high saved up balances are treated like criminals. Loyalty has no meaning to corps. Sending AI canned responses with an insulting link to the useless info. about cookies and cache etc. every time is the old spiel that all "support" in the industry has used for 27 years now. It's clearly made worse than ever to drastically cut down on paying out rewards to us. I have honored my end of the deal, but I'm just a bot to them. Makes me want to throw my Series X and PC out the window! 👺

I'm just a regular user that's been suffering using bung for points since it first launched. (2009?)

This cool down bs is going on 2 weeks now I wait 10-20 minutes to do 1-3 searches and can't even hit 150 fior PC searches before they reset. Same for phone searches.

I had a streak of 276 and it's reset because I can't finish my dailies.

2 support tickets with zero help Just a canned response with the same list of "fixes" that they post and send us knowing full well it won't change any issues

For all I know it could be AI responding because it's always the same. No help just treat me like I'm a hacker.

Meanwhile the real hackers are not effected at all. Loyalty means nothing to corps! Been with M$ since 1995 That counts for zilch. 🤬

I feel like I'm ranting to the 4 people in this thread who are in the same boat. This is classic MS behavior. Brings to mind the last 2-3 years of demanding CPU and TPM requirements....not listening to customers....sticking to their guns....and now backing off. Don't get me started on Win 8...holy crap!

All of what you posted Estrella is useless.

None of us valid users have ever used a VPN. It is NOT an issue with our browsers cache or cookies. Using another device yields the same results. Contacting Rewards support team is laughable - form letter replies that accuse us all of violating or "not aligning" with the services agreement.

I was good to go without a cool-down timer. Account in good standing, and when I went to redeem - was instantly hit with a new cool-down timer and told I was temporarily suspended from redeeming. All for the sake of Microsoft not issuing a measly $5.00 gift card. Pathetic.
