How do I register my McBook Air as a Microsoft device? Microsoft doesn't have that option.

I'm trying to get my MacBook Air to accept a download of Microsoft Office 2021 for Home & Business. In order for me to do this, I need to register my new MacBook Air as a "Microsoft device." But somehow, I'm unable to do this. Can anyone help me to get my computer registered? (I don't have a "Company Portal"--which was suggsted by one of the answers.)

You can't because a Mac is not a Microsoft Device. That space is for registering other Microsoft products such as Surface tablets, X-Box game systems, etc.

    Hello,

To install Office, you shouldn't have to register your device.

Have you already redeemed your license key by going to https://setup.office.com/ If so, it should then link your license to your Microsoft account.

Once done, simply use this instruction to install Office app.
