I have tried all the recommendations on this thread to no avail. Our corporate solution is to revert to the old version of Outlook as M/Soft has no solution to their problem. I will continue to monitor in the hope that someone might find a solution, until then Old Outlook is the way to go.

I have Win10, and I got my problem solved by going to computers Settings/Programs/Programs and properties. There I clicked Microsoft 365 Apps for business and chose Modify. I made the full repair which helped for me.

Me and others in my office have been having the same issue with the only workaround being to email to a gmail account and then download the pdf file from there.

The Save As command is restored to the PDF preview now:

If you are not seeing it yet, try updating the new Outlook.

Or you can use the workaround to click the arrow next to the attachment icon and choose Save As from there.

Hi there, Lars! This is Marc. Thanks for providing those details. Based on what you've described, here are a few approaches we can try.

Check if you have a PDF reader installed and set as your default application for PDF files. If you don't have Adobe Reader, PDF-XChange, or another PDF viewer installed, Windows might not know how to handle the files. You can download Adobe Reader for free or set Microsoft Edge as your default PDF viewer through Windows Settings > Apps > Default apps. Also, make sure your PDF reader is up to date, as older versions sometimes have compatibility issues with attachments.

If the PDF reader isn't the problem, the issue might be Outlook's attachment security settings. Go to File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Attachment Handling, and make sure PDF files aren't listed in the blocked attachments.

Let me know how it goes.

    Best regards,
