I have been going all day trying to look at different websites and find answers for some reason my switch pro controller won’t connect wirelessly or wired, I have tried ds4windows, betterjoy, and various other programs but they aren’t seem to be helping, I tried some updates with Bluetooth drivers but that didn’t work either my USB port and cable are functioning correctly but they still work paired wired, so please help me

  1. Has your Nintendo Switch Pro Controller ever worked with this PC before (either wired or wireless)? If yes, do you recall any changes made before it stopped working? (For example: Windows updates, driver changes, BIOS updates, new software installs, etc.) NOPE
  2. Are you using any Bluetooth dongle, or only the motherboard's onboard Bluetooth? nope
  3. When you go to Add Bluetooth Device, does “Pro Controller” appear at all? No it does not. Even when I plug it in I get nothing.
  4. When you plug the controller via USB, does it show up in Device Manager under Human Interface Devices? Universal Serial Bus Devices? Or is there any yellow warning symbol? nope nothinbg
  5. Have you tested another USB-C cable (preferably a data+charge cable)? Yes
  6. Have you checked if the controller works on another PC (wired or wireless)? It works on my older PC
  7. Are you running any software in the background like Steam, DS4Windows, or controller remappers that could be interfering? I was but I removed them.

    Hi ,

You're trying to use the Pro controller via USB. If you connect it via USB to the new PC, there's no change. You can access the Device Manager in the USB Controllers tab, disconnect, and reconnect. See if a new controller appears.

If so, take a screenshot. The problem may be with an incorrectly installed driver.

    Thanks
