Best way to transfer files from one OneDrive to another

Hi there,

Just looking for the best way to transfer just under 100GB of files from my personal OneDrive account to a university one I have recently received. Obviously just copying them is super tedious so just wondering if there was a better way. I've looked at some (paid) services but they look more oriented to businesses. I've seen Power Automate as another option but not entirely sure how it works.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi, and welcome to Microsoft Q&A.

Copying shouldn't be too tedious if you have enough space on your hard drive for both copies.

My suggestion is to go to the OneDrive cloud icon on the taskbar > Settings > Account tab > +Add an account and add the other account there. Then, you can either copy or move files from one OneDrive folder to another. Ensure that all the files you want to copy or move are available on your computer and are displaying green OneDrive icons.

The following video mentions a business account, but it should work equally well for an education account: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iRQWD0rdRTw

I hope that would work for you.
