That is correct, Microsoft began a world wide roll out of the free ESU with the August update, it is a slow roll out, provided you have the August update installed, then you will receive the ESU offer on the Windows updates section in the Settings app, check there each day until the offer appears on your system.
Can't Find Link to Enroll in Extended Security Update for My Windows 10 PC
I've already confirmed I'm running the latest Windows 10 (22H2) version and have searched extensively through Windows Settings, but can't find the button/link that initiates the actual enrollment process.
Here's some information from a recent MSN.com article...
"...Microsoft provides detailed instructions on how to enable Extended Security Updates for Windows 10, but the option to enroll in the program may not be available yet for all eligible users.
It appears that Microsoft is still in the process of rolling out the enrollment wizard to all locations and devices. We were unable to get the "Enroll now" link or messaging on our CNET test computer running Windows 10, even though we had installed the necessary update (the August 2025 patch KB5063709).
We reached out to Microsoft for clarification on the timeline for the ESU program. A spokesperson said, "We're working to restore the availability of the Windows 10 Extended Security Updates program in a subset of markets...."
I guess we Windows 10 users who wish to enroll in ESU will have to keep checking as 10/14/25 approaches.
