Got it! Thanks for the clarification.

Let’s focus instead on forcing a clean reinstall of Edge and WebView2.

    1. Install Microsoft Edge. Download and install the latest Edge directly from: https://www.microsoft.com/edge
    2. Check the WebView2 installation folder. Open File Explorer and go to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\EdgeWebView\Application Do you see a version folder there (for example, 129.0.xxxx.x)?
      • If yes, continue with step 3.
      • If no folder is present, skip to step 5.
    3. Force uninstall WebView2. Open Command Prompt as Administrator and run: "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Microsoft\EdgeWebView\Application\xx.x.xxxx.x\Installer\setup.exe" --uninstall --force-uninstall Replace xx.x.xxxx.x with the exact version you see in the folder.
      • If that fails, try adding this switch:
      --msedgewebview
    4. Delete leftover files. Manually remove these folders if they exist:
      • C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\EdgeWebView
      • %localappdata%\Microsoft\EdgeWebView
    5. Reinstall WebView2 Runtime. Download the Evergreen Standalone Installer here: https://developer.microsoft.com/microsoft-edge/webview2/ Run the installer. Even if it says it’s already installed, it should overwrite and repair the runtime.
    6. Reboot your PC and test Bambu Studio. See if the startup page now loads correctly.
    7. Confirm system-wide WebView2 If Bambu Studio still fails, test another app that uses WebView2 (for example, Teams desktop or Outlook preview pane).
      • If those apps also fail, it points to WebView2 not registering properly on Windows.
      • If only Bambu Studio fails, then the issue is app-specific.

Let me know how far you get with these steps and what behavior you see.

    Thanks for confirming those details.

Before we continue, can you let me know if you’ve already tried doing a Windows in-place upgrade repair? This is the step where you mount the Windows 11 ISO and run setup with “Keep personal files and apps” selected.

If you’ve already done that, we won’t repeat it and can focus on forcing a clean uninstall and reinstall of WebView2 and Edge instead.

Thanks for bringing this up. I am here to help.

Before we proceed, let me confirm a few things:

    1. Which version and build of Windows are you running?
    2. Do you see WebView2 Runtime listed under Settings > Apps > Installed apps right now, or is it completely missing?
    3. When you try to reinstall from the official Microsoft WebView2 Runtime page, do you get an error, or does it say it installed successfully but still doesn’t work?
    4. Did you also remove Microsoft Edge itself, or just the runtime folders?
    5. When Bambu Studio fails to load, does it give you an error code or just stay blank?

While waiting for your response, here's what I can recommend you try.

    Step 1: Reinstall Edge

Download and install the latest Microsoft Edge from: https://www.microsoft.com/edge

This also refreshes some shared runtime components that WebView2 needs.

Step 2: Reinstall WebView2 Runtime (Evergreen Standalone Installer)

Go to the WebView2 Download page

Under the Evergreen Standalone Installer, download and run it. This forces a full install regardless of leftovers.

Step 3: Clear leftover update folders

Press Windows key + R, type:

    %localappdata%\Microsoft\

Delete any EdgeWebView and WebView2 folders if they remain.

    Restart your PC after that.

Step 4: Test Bambu Studio again

If it now loads, you’re fixed.

If not, try opening another app that uses WebView2 like Outlook desktop preview pane or Microsoft Teams, to confirm if WebView2 works system-wide or not.

Step 5: If none of the above works, running a Windows in-place upgrade repair keeps your files but refreshes all system components, including Edge and WebView2.

In-place upgrade is a process wherein it will upgrade the device to the latest version and repair many issues without deleting any files. Usually, it is used to repair corrupted system files, apps, and even incompatible drivers on the system.

    Here's how.

Go to the official Microsoft page:

    https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows11

Under "Download Windows 11 Disk Image (ISO)," select Windows 11 (multi-edition ISO) and click Download.

After downloading, right-click the ISO file and click Mount.

Open the new virtual drive that appears and run setup.exe.

    On the installer screen

Choose “Keep personal files and apps” when prompted.

Follow the on-screen steps to complete the installation.

This process can take up to 1 hour and may include multiple restarts. After it completes, Windows will be refreshed while keeping all your data intact.

Let me know how it goes and if you still have questions.
