Sending, receiving, and organizing email in Outlook.com
Hi RP, this is Kimberly. I'm glad to assist you today.
There are a couple of things to check to potentially resolve this without switching providers.
- Check Spam, Junk, and Other Folders
Outlook can route emails to:
Junk Email
Other (Focused Inbox is split into Focused/Other)
Quarantine (see below)
Double-check these folders for anything from Tesla.
- Check Microsoft’s Security/Quarantine Portal
Sometimes, Microsoft blocks messages before they even hit your inbox or junk folder.
Go to: https://security.microsoft.com/quarantine
Sign in with your Outlook.com email
Check if any Tesla email is there
If found: click “Release” and mark as Not Junk
- Create an Inbox Rule to Whitelist Tesla
Instead of just using the Safe Senders list:
Go to https://outlook.live.com
Click the gear icon > View all Outlook settings
Go to Mail > Rules
Add a new rule:
Name: "Tesla Whitelist"
Condition: From contains @tesla.com
Action: Move to Inbox, Mark as Important, Never send to spam
This may help bypass Outlook’s aggressive filters.
- Try a Different Tesla Email Path
Sometimes Tesla uses third-party email domains like:
******@auth.tesla.com
******@tesla.com
******@newsletter.teslamotors.com
Try checking Tesla’s login page or registration page and request another verification — sometimes this triggers a different sending service.
- Test With a Gmail or iCloud Address (Temporarily)
Even if you want to keep Outlook long-term, try signing up (or re-sending the verification email) using a different email temporarily:
If it works on Gmail or iCloud, then the problem is almost certainly on Outlook’s side.
Once verified, you may be able to change back to your Outlook email in Tesla account settings.
Should you have more questions, please let me know.
Best regards,
Kimberly
