Microsoft office applications suddenly disappeared

All office applications suddenly disappeared!!!

I'm running local Office (not 365) on Windows 10 on Dell Latitude.

The office files are still there but refuse to open.

What on earth is going on? Can anyone provide any information?

Open the Settings App, then go to Apps & features, scroll down the list of installed apps, do you find Microsoft Office listed there?

If you do, the best option is to full repair of your Office installation.

Select Office and choose Modify - Online Repair.

That should fix any issues with your Office Installation.

If you do not find Office in the list of installed Apps, then go to your Microsoft Account on this link to re-install Office on your PC.

Microsoft Office not longer appears among the list of installed Apps.

Using the File manager, the Microsoft Office folder still exists but it is showing as zero bytes.

There is nothing related to Office in the Recycle bin.

No viruses found (McAfee software and up to date)

5.When I log on to Microsoft I can see the product I bought (Office 2019) and there is an install button, but it tries to download Microsoft 365 rather than the product I bought.

When you select the Install button on your Microsoft account online, that should download your own version of Office, on the download window there is a lot of adverting for Microsoft 365, but your own version should install correctly
