can windows do sharing between a desktop and a laptop with windows 11-P?

i have a laptop with windows 11 pro and a desktop with windows 11 pro and would like to be able to pass files back and forth from a folder on the one to a folder on the other. is this possible without requiring 3rd party software?

    Hi Bill, yes, you can share files directly between your Windows 11 Pro desktop and laptop if both are on the same network. Go to Settings, then Network and Internet, then Advanced sharing settings. Turn on network discovery and file and printer sharing. Right-click the folder you want to share, select Properties, then Sharing, then Share.

    On the other PC, open File Explorer and type \ComputerName\SharedFolder in the address bar to access it. Microsoft also supports using OneDrive if you prefer cloud-based sharing.
