Bing limiting searches

Why is Bing whining about how many searches I make in a short period of time? I've been using Bing for years, and have never seen that warning before.

I do searches when I have time. It's like Bing wants me to use another search engine. Bing isn't as good as other search engines. I only use it to earn rewards. I don't appreciate being limited. In addition, I use the app, and I don't want Copilot. I hate Copilot, and many other Bing users do as well. We should have an option in the app to turn it off.

If it's so temporary, then why is it still happening after 3 weeks? I'm furious because ticket after ticket gets me nowhere. I get a canned auto response every time and the ticket is closed as if they fixed it even though they did nothing to help because they are a bot. M$ is clearly playing dumb to get us to search with very little rewards. Slimey as it comes.

Bing is horrible. If I'm not getting rewarded then there is no reason to suffer through using it. I'm stuck with 3 searches every 15 -30 mins. and I can't even finish them all in a day. I lost a 276 day streak and 1000's of points which has happened before for no reason.

I researched on GOOGLE to double check my theory about bots and I found that A BOT CAN EASILY BE SET TO RUN 3 (or any # of) SEARCHES IN ANY TIME INTERVOLE SO THE ONLY PEOPLE PUNISHED ARE LEGIT USERS. That's a no brainer.

M$ actually thinks we too stupid to see the obvious. If you want to stop rewarding users than just tell us. But no, instead you use the standard corp. deceptive practices and play dumb. It's like you want us to hate M$ and give SONY and APPLE our $$$ instead. Brilliant strategy. 👌🤬

Hi, thank you for reaching out. I’m happy to help.

To clarify, are you receiving a notice stating that you can only earn points for searches after a certain period of time? If so, the system may have detected unusual search activity, which could trigger temporary limitations on earning points.

If this happens, please note that the limitation is temporary and will be lifted once your search activity returns to normal.

For more information and tips to prevent any earning limitations, please see the Microsoft article below:
