Dear Boishin, Vladislav (Implementation Engineer, TDIS),

Thank you for your inquiry regarding the KB5063878 update. Microsoft is aware that this update introduced changes to User Account Control (UAC) behavior, which may impact MSI repair operations and application installations in certain environments.

To mitigate this issue, Microsoft has released a Known Issue Rollback (KIR) that can be deployed via Group Policy. This KIR is available for supported versions of Windows 10 (21H2, 22H2) and Windows 11 (22H2, 23H2, 24H2). You can download the corresponding Group Policy templates and deployment instructions from the Microsoft Q&A thread on KB5063878.

Please ensure that your devices are managed via Active Directory or a compatible policy management tool, and that the latest cumulative updates are installed. If you need assistance applying the KIR or validating its impact, we’re happy to help.

    Best regards,

    Quinnie Quoc.
