My keyboard stopped working after accidentally pressing a few keys together and makes a weird electronic "click" noise when pressed

I'm sorry if I placed the wrong tags, I have no idea which ones to choose so let me know if I need to edit, but I do have Microsoft personal on my laptop and accidentally enabled/disabled something. Everything was working fine until I accidentally pressed my phone into my keyboard, specifically in the bottom right where the ALT key and the Copilot key are. Not sure what exactly was pressed, but a notification came up on the bottom right of my screen from Copilot or Microsoft or something like that saying something, but I clicked my screen and it went away. Then my keyboard stopped working. I am typing this with the on screen keyboard now. My keyboard won't type or do anything, other than make an odd electronic "clicking" noise. What happened? I thought it was some kind of accessibility feature, but there is nothing different there. I tried to rerun the keyboard but that's not an option. What can I do? Do I need to bring my computer to the place I bought it (Best Buy)? Thanks so much.

Hi, I'm Bernard, a fellow Windows user. I'm happy to help!

I understand the issue you have. There is nothing to worry about. I am here to assist. There might be a hotkey that disables your keyboard. The fastest way to get back the keyboard is to reinstall the driver by following the steps below:

Right-click on the Windows icon on the taskbar, then select Device Manager

    Click the drop-down for Keyboards

Right-click each driver under Keyboards, then select Uninstall device > then click Uninstall. (Do not check for Attempt to remove the driver for this device if there is an option)

Once done, on the top select Action > Select Scan for hardware changes (If the issue persists, restart the device and check)
