A Microsoft file hosting and synchronization service.
Hi Samuel,
Thanks for reaching out! I totally get how annoying it is when your Android phone and tablet say your OneDrive is full, even though your Mac and the web version show you’ve still got over 400 GB left. That kind of mismatch can really get in the way, especially when you're just trying to upload music.
This usually comes down to the OneDrive app on Android holding onto old storage info. It doesn’t always refresh properly, especially if you’ve made big changes like deleting files or uploading from another device. So even though your actual storage is fine, the app might still think you’ve hit the 1 TB limit and that’s why it’s blocking uploads.
Here are a few quick steps to fix it:
Clear the app cache Go to Settings > Apps > OneDrive > Storage & cache, then tap Clear cache. This won’t delete your files it just refreshes the app’s memory.
Sign out and back in In the OneDrive app, tap your profile > Settings > Account > Sign out. Restart your phone, then sign back in. This forces a full refresh.
Update the app Head to the Google Play Store, search for OneDrive, and tap Update if it’s available.
Reinstall if needed If it’s still acting up, uninstall OneDrive, restart your phone, and reinstall it fresh.
Once the app is syncing properly again, you should be able to upload music without any issues. If it’s still blocking you, try using your phone’s Files app and choose Share > OneDrive as a workaround.
Let me know if you’d like help. I’m happy to help however I can!
