Azure: Azure Front Door (Standard)

I can't figure out what are the syntax and pattern at the ruleset for URL rewrite for Source Pattern and Desitnation Pattern.

Is it id.sample.com/8003/12121212 need to URL-rewrite within the action definition to
Currtently we tried Source pattern: /8003/* or /8003/(.*) to Destination pattern: /?view=sample&id=$1 or /?view=sample&id={request.path[2]}
But not got the URL rewrite working but not passing the parmeters proper.
I could not found any proper documentation which give me proper syntax documentation for source and destination pattern.

Any helping hand would be appreciated.

Regards Lars.

Hello Lars Schnell

You mentioned that if your path starts with a special character like "?", it may not work as expected, which is the expected behavior at the Front Door level.

If your path does not start with a special character, the segment values may change automatically for that request. If you want to create a rewrite rule, please refer to the documentation below.
