I can't play H.264 videos

Windows doesn't seem to be able to handle MP4 or MTS movies, with H.264 video extension. (H264 high L4.2 according to my video editing software, but I'm not sure exactly what that means). I can't play them in mediaplayer. More importantly, I want to edit the videos in video editing software and that is not possible, I think because Windows doesn't play the videos. I even bought the 1 euro HEVC converter but that doesn't do anything. VLC media player doesn't give any problems though.

I am using windows 11. I didn't activate Windows. According to other questions on this site, that shouldn't be the problem.

    Hi ,

You have the K-lite codec Pack installed but without uninstalling it completely, restart the PC and test it.

Give feedback if the information was useful or not

    Thanks

    Hi ,

This could be a problem with the video driver and codecs.

What video editor are you using?

If it's a laptop or desktop, if possible, could you provide the laptop model or your desktop configuration?

    Thanks
