Hello. You’ll need to manually reverse the folder redirection.
First, confirm the actual location:
- Open File Explorer.
- Right-click on the “Desktop” under “Quick Access” or “This PC” → Select “Properties”.
- Go to the “Location” tab.
Do you see the path set to Dropbox there? If so, you’re still under redirection.
Follow this to reset the Desktop location:
- In the Location tab, click Restore Default.
- It should reset the path to:
C:\Users\jelfm\Desktop. - Click Apply.
- If prompted, choose Yes to move existing files back to the default location.
This will detach the Desktop folder from Dropbox and return Windows to its expected behavior.
