Where are the Program Files kept in 365?

After installing 365, I don't see program files using File Explorer. Are they on my machine or in the cloud, somewhere? Can I use Word or Excel without being connected to the internet?

    If you have installed the full suite of Office applications, winword.exe, excel.exe etc. will definitely be present on the disk. You may have to display hidden files and folders to see all of these files in File Explorer. A common path for winword.exe as well as other executables is C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\root\Office16.
