Hi,
Nice to meet you! I'm Randy, an Independent Advisor.
You can try plugging in the receiver first and let Windows 11 automatically install its generic HID drivers, which usually give you basic keyboard and mouse functionality even without the old 2013 driver package. If it doesn’t work right away, you can go into Device Manager and attempt to install the old driver in Windows 7 compatibility mode it won’t harm your system, but the worst case is that it simply won’t function properly. Since Microsoft no longer supports IntelliType/IntelliPoint, advanced features like special key mappings may not work. So in short: yes, it’s worth plugging it in and seeing if Windows 11 picks it up with its generic driver, but if it doesn’t, then replacing them is the safer, long-term solution.
Kind regards,
