A family of Microsoft word processing software products for creating web, email, and print documents.
Thanks for reaching out. I will help you sort this out.
Try these steps.
Step 1. Toggle formatting marks
Press Ctrl + Shift + 8 or go to the Home tab, in the Paragraph group, click the ¶ (Show/Hide) button. This will hide the dots (spaces), bullets (paragraph marks), and other non-printing characters.
Step 2. Check Word Options
If they keep coming back:
Go to File > Options > Display.
Under Always show these formatting marks on the screen, uncheck everything.
Click OK.
Step 3. Confirm it’s not AutoCorrect or Bullets
Sometimes Word automatically formats when you press Enter.
Go to File > Options > Proofing > AutoCorrect Options > AutoFormat As You Type.
Turn off Automatic bulleted lists if that’s adding unwanted bullets.
Step 4. Test in a new document
Open a blank document and type to confirm the issue is gone. If it only happens in one file, that file’s formatting might be corrupted. Copy the text into a clean document.
Hope that helps! Let me know how these steps go.
