Hi, I'm Bernard, a fellow Windows user. I'm happy to help!

This issue occurs when there is a miscalibration with the Printer. In this case, I recommend uninstalling all the Brother printer driver-related apps on the PC and reinstalling them from the manufacturer's website. Kindly follow the steps below:

Press the Windows key + R, then type in:

    appwiz.cpl

    Then hit OK

Look for Brother drivers or software, then right-click and uninstall them.

    Restart the PC and check.

Then download the driver from the link below:

    https://support.brother.com/g/b/downloadtop.aspx?c=us&lang=en&prod=mfc7840w_all

Use Windows 10 (64-bit), then download Full Driver & Software Package

Note: This is a non-Microsoft website. The page appears to be providing accurate, safe information. Watch out for ads on the site that may advertise products frequently classified as a PUP (Potentially Unwanted Products). Thoroughly research any product advertised on the site before you decide to download and install it.
