I started to get this issue kinda recently which is first dated back to 19.09.2025 at 12:57.

Since then I've been looking for a way to fix this issue.

I checked my driver updates and ran sfc /scannow command to find what is wrong before writing this question, all my drivers seem to be up to date.

There were two different Event Reports with exact times and dates most of the time, (2nd Event always happened together with 1st Event according to Event Report dates and times) so I will include both of them here.

This issue 90% of the time happens minutes later when I am done playing high quality games (such as Rainbow Six Siege, Ready or Not, Cyberpunk2077 etc.) or after a long day being on.

System Information:

  • CPU: 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12700H (2.30 GHz)
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU
  • RAM: 32.0 GB
  • OS: Windows 11

Below is latest Event Reports of the two Events I mentioned, which are on exact time and date (I don't know if there are personal informations in those Event Reports, please tell me if there is any):

This Event's latest report is dated on 24.09.2025 at 11:02.

Besides those two Events there is one event that happens everyday when I turn on my laptop, I don't know if it has something to do with this issue or not, so if it is not that important ignore this part.

Extra Event:

-Microsoft Edge Update-

Those are all Events I got (at least the ones I think are associated with my issue).

First Event Desktop Window Manager (Black Screen - User Reported) happened in total of 13 times.

Second Event Windows (Hardware error) happened in total of 15 times.

Extra Event Microsoft Edge Update (crashpad_log) happened in total of 25 times.

  • As an addition to all informations I gathered, here are some stuff I wanna add:

My laptop has been to PC Repair Shop before for an issue about my performance on games and overheating.

After I had my laptop repaired, the previous problem was fixed and my laptop got factory reseted to install Windows 11.

And after I started using my laptop, those black screen crashes started to happen for the first time.

They were so rapid, this issue started after my laptop has been to PC Repair Shop and never had this problem back then.

I didn't check the Event Reports of those Events and sent my laptop to PC Repair Shop for the second time.

When I recieved my laptop back it was factory reseted to fix the issue, but black screen crashes started after few days again.

This time it isn't that rapid and common but happens like 1-2 times daily, black screen crashes happen after the stuff I mentioned at start.

What to do?

Please check to see if your PC is producing any minidump files, I will check those to see if they provide any insight into a potential cause of the system crashes.

    Open Windows File Explorer.

    Navigate to C:\Windows\Minidump

Copy any minidump files onto your Desktop, then zip those up.

Upload the zip file to the Cloud (OneDrive... etc.), then choose to share those and get a share link.

Then post the link here to the zip file, so I can take a look for you.

If there are no minidump files in that folder, please go to this folder to check if there are any WatchDog.....dmp files avaialble that you can upload for analysis.

    C:\Windows\LiveKernelReports
