Windows 11 missing

My windows 11 home and old windows 10 folders have vanished. I went through the complete list as posted at MS of ways to find it. Nothing showed up. Since it's still working, I am unsure if a repair or reinstall or even a reboot will work as the folder is not where it should be? Before I do any of those I'm hoping for guidance. All help is appreciated. BTW, this is the dumbest thing I've ever had happen and I've been doing this a long time. Abby

Hello! Abby. Thank you for the details. I'm glad to assist you with this.

Windows sometimes hides these folders by default:

    Open File Explorer.

Click View → Show → Hidden items.

Then go to Options → View tab.

Uncheck “Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)” — it will warn you, click Yes.

    Now look again in C:.

If the Windows folder now shows up, it was just hidden.

See if this helps. If you need further assistance, just let me know.

    Best regards,

    Kimberly
