Unwanted Microsoft desktop pictures

Good morning: I know how to change my desktop image from a picture to a solid colour. However, without choosing any selection, even after setting a solid colour, I keep getting Microsoft image spontaneously changing frequently without me doing anything. Obvious question: how can I stop this please. Des E Gershon.

Open the Settings App, go to Personalization - Background, is that setting set to solid color, not Windows Spotlight, if so, set it to Picture, and set any picture as the background, then restart your PC and set that setting back to Solid Color to reset that registry key.

In the Settings App, go to Apps - Installed Apps, check there if the Bing Wallpaper app is installed, if so, uninstall it, that may be over-riding your settings for your Desktop background.

As I'm not computer savvy I took a bit of time sorting this out. Think I now may have achieved it though. I have uninstalled Bing Wallpaper. Fingers crossed!! DersE
