I have downloaded the application but I am unable to find Realtek application other than Realtek USB to uninstall which I did. On restart, Realtek is still default speakers and microphone. I cannot find in any apps or sound settings to remove or change...

    Thanks for the clarification.

    I suggest doing the following:

Download the latest audio driver from the link below, uninstall the current driver, restart your computer, and install the driver you downloaded.

You should be able to uninstall the current Realtek driver in "Settings > Apps > Installed apps". It should be named "Realtek Audio Driver" or "Realtek High Definition Audio Driver".

    Driver download: https://www.dell.com/support/product-details/en-us/product/xps-15-9500-laptop/drivers

Driver name: Realtek High Definition Audio Driver

    Version: 6.0.9597.1

For this model specifically, you also need to install the Waves MaxxAudio Pro app to use all the audio features your device supports. (Same link as the driver)

    Name: Waves MaxxAudio Pro Application

    Version: 3.0.74.0

After you finish installing the audio driver and Waves MaxxAudio Pro, you may need to restart your PC.

See if the microphone volume returns to normal after doing this.

If the problem persists, please let me know.

Feel free to ask back any questions.

Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

    Please clarify the following:

Is the microphone you usually use internal or external?

If it is external, does the microphone have a standard audio connector (Jack connector) or a USB connector?

Also, share a screenshot of your system information.

    • Press "Windows + R", type msinfo32 and press Enter.

Maximize the window and use the shortcut "Windows + Shift + S" to use the screenshot tool.

    I await your reply.
