For 10 years on all my computers, no matter what I do, I can't for the life of me get rid of read-only, and it always creates issues. No matter what I do using CMD codes, following tutorials, using attributes, security privileges, nothing ever works; it always reverts to read-only. I've had 6 different computers, and it just won't change. how do i get rid of it?

    Hi,

Can I ask a quick follow-up though? When you say the read-only setting "always creates issues," what kind of problems are you actually running into? Like, does it stop you from editing or saving files, do certain programs refuse to work properly, or is it more that the box just keeps flipping back and it’s driving you nuts?

    Kind regards,
