Hello Carla Naufal , Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue connecting your AirPods to your laptop via Bluetooth:
- Confirm basic setup
- Make sure Bluetooth is turned on in Settings → Bluetooth & devices.
- Put the AirPods in the case, open the lid, and hold the button on the back until the light flashes white (this enables pairing mode).
- In Windows, select Add device → Bluetooth and check if “AirPods” appears.
- Remove conflicts
- In Bluetooth & devices, remove/forget any old or unused Bluetooth devices that might interfere.
- Install the correct Bluetooth driver
- Go to your laptop manufacturer’s official support website.
- Download and install the latest Bluetooth driver specifically for your laptop model (this is often more reliable than the generic driver from Windows Update).
- Restart the PC after installation and try pairing again.
- Restart Bluetooth services
- Press Win + R, type services.msc.
- Find Bluetooth Support Service, stop and restart it. Ensure Startup type is set to Automatic.
- Reset AirPods
- If they were previously paired, remove them from the list.
- With the lid open, hold the case button until the light flashes amber, then white.
- Try pairing again.
- Use the troubleshooter
- Go to Settings → Troubleshoot → Other troubleshooters → run Bluetooth troubleshooter.
- Hardware compatibility
- If the laptop uses an older Bluetooth chip, AirPods may not connect reliably. In such cases, using a newer USB Bluetooth adapter can help.
Hope this helps!
