I've been dealing with multiple Event 41, Kernel-Power crashes in Windows 11 daily for over a month at this point and I'm at a loss for how to resolve it. The crashes usually occur when I am using a DAW like Reaper or Cubase 14 Pro, but not always. In fact I had a crash occur while typing up this post.

Before these crashes, my PC had been working perfectly since I built it in 2021. The only thing that I can think of that has changed is that I upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11 in August. I think that may be when I started experiencing issues. I really appreciate anyone who can help me look into this. It has been really frustrating and I don't even know where to begin.

I'm using the following:

  • Windows 11 Home, Version 24H2
  • AMD Ryzen 9 5900X
  • 64 GB Ram
  • GeForce RTX 3070 Ti
  • Kingston KC3000 2.048 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive

I'm also using 3 external SSDs that are connected via USB.

Sorry for the delay in reply. I've been offline.

The data you shared doesn't mention any drivers, but it does mention the executable "reaper.exe". According to my search, this executable belongs to REAPER, a digital audio production application.

Do you have REAPER installed? If yes, uninstall it and see if the system will work stably.

If the crash occurs again after uninstalling it, please share the minidump it created.

Feel free to ask back any questions.

Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

The minidumps do not mention any driver, only a generic system file.

    I suggest doing the following:

    • Go to the Gigabyte website using the link below, download the latest Chipset driver, and install it.

    https://www.aorus.com/motherboards/x570-aorus-elite-rev-10/Support

    Driver name: AMD Chipset Driver

    Version: 5.11.02.217

(You will need to expand the Chipset category to find the mentioned driver.)

(Extract the ZIP file, and double-click the file "mb_driver_597_chipset_5.11.02.217" to run it. Then, follow the on-screen instructions to install the driver.)

    • I noticed that the motherboard BIOS is outdated. I suggest you update it by following Gigabyte's instructions.

Then, see if the system will work stably.

If the crash occurs again after doing this, please share the minidump it created.

Feel free to ask back any questions.
