We have 4 computers between two different entrances to a studio I work at, 1 of which is connected to ROLLS BT speakers around the studio. Whenever someone uses the computer (types, uses the mouse, opens and closes windows, etc.) the sound coming out of the BT speaker crackles and stutters.

The computers are updated, drivers are updated.

    Dear photographer421,

Based on your description, the issue appears to occur only when interacting with one specific computer that’s connected to ROLLS Bluetooth (BT) speakers, while the other systems function normally. Since your devices and drivers are up to date, we recommend exploring the following areas to help isolate and resolve the issue:

    Here are Recommended Troubleshooting Steps:

    1. Check for Wireless Interference Bluetooth audio can be sensitive to interference from Wi-Fi networks, USB 3.0 devices, or other wireless peripherals. Try relocating the BT receiver or minimizing nearby wireless activity to reduce signal disruption.
    2. Adjust Power and Performance Settings Go to Settings > System > Power & Battery > Additional Power Settings. Select High Performance to ensure consistent system responsiveness. Disable USB selective suspend under Advanced Power Settings.
    3. Verify Audio Buffer Settings In the audio driver or sound control panel, check for buffer size or latency settings. Increasing buffer size may reduce stuttering during active input.
    4. Update or Reinstall Bluetooth Drivers
      • Even if drivers are current, a clean reinstall can help: Uninstall the Bluetooth driver via Device Manager. Restart the PC and allow Windows to reinstall the driver automatically.
    5. Test with Wired Audio or Alternate BT Adapter To rule out hardware limitations, test the same setup using a wired connection or a different Bluetooth adapter.
    6. If the issue persists only with this specific PC, it may be related to chipset-level Bluetooth handling or background processes affecting audio priority.
    7. You can also run the Bluetooth Troubleshooter via Settings > Troubleshoot > Other Troubleshooters.
