No, only 8th gen CPUs are supported by Windows 11
Will Intel Core I7-7500 CPU @ 2.7 GHz be included to support Windows 11?
I have a four year old HP Elitebook 850 with an Intel Core I7-7500 CPU @ 2.7 GHz CPU.
According to the Windows Health check this CPU is not included in the list of approved CPU's for Windows 11. Will it be included at a later stage or would I have to obtain a new Laptop?

The answer is no.
Microsoft excluded most 7th-generation Intel CPUs from Windows 11 largely because those chips often lack or inadequately support newer security and reliability features that Windows 11 requires, such as improved memory isolation, mode-based execution control, virtualization-based security, TPM 2.0 support, and related hardware mitigations for side-channel vulnerabilities. Because Microsoft found that devices not meeting those architectural and security requirements experienced significantly more system instability and kernel crashes, it drew a firm line at 8th-generation (and a few select 7th-gen exceptions) to maintain platform integrity and reduce support burden.
