Unable to pair (bluetooth) my Logitech M240 wireless mouse to new Dell Latitude Windows 11

Hi,

I have a brand-new Dell Latitude 7450 (laptop) with Windows 11 and have been unable to connect my wireless Logitech M240 mouse via Bluetooth.

I have successfully paired a different device via Bluetooth (Cricut Maker) and have completed the Windows troubleshooting for Bluetooth and Devices without success.

I have also tried removing all other devices and re-pairing them, multiple restarts and turning the laptop and mouse off completely for 24 hours but the mouse still will not pair.

The mouse is not even appearing in the Devices list, though my modem and Cricut Maker consistently appear.

Please can you help?

Thanks

    Hello

Is the mouse the only bluetooth device that won't connect? Can you try to connect the mouse with another computer if you have one? It sounds like the issue might be with the mouse.

Make sure batteries are good, and installed correctly (positive/negative are placed correctly). If it is a brand new mouse, make sure the protection tape is pulled out from the batteries.

Otherwise perform a reset on the mouse (you would have to refer to Logitech instruction how to do that), this is especially important if the mouse has previous paired with a different device.

Thank you. I did a "hard reset" on the mouse (took the battery out for 30 secs before replacing) as advised by Logitech. I was then able to press and hold the pairing button and the device appeared immediately! Thank goodness, it was nearly driving me mad!

Thanks so much for your help.
