A Microsoft service that provides website owners with tools to monitor, analyze, and optimize their site's performance in Bing search results.
Hi Max,
Thanks for reaching out! If Bing’s URL inspection tool says your page is “known but has issues preventing indexation,” it means Bing has seen your URL but found something that’s stopping it from adding it to search results.
Even if your robots.txt is open and your site looks good, Bing might still hold back indexing due to:
A meta tag like <meta name="robots" content="noindex">
Server errors (not returning a proper 200 OK status)
Pages that rely heavily on JavaScript (Bingbot may not render them well)
Low domain authority or few backlinks
Duplicate or very thin content
Sitemap issues or missing submissions
To fix this:
Double-check your meta tags and HTTP status codes.
Use Bing Webmaster Tools’ Live URL Inspection and Site Scan.
Resubmit your sitemap and request indexing.
Consider using IndexNow to notify Bing of updates.
Build a few quality backlinks to improve trust.
If everything looks good and it’s still not indexing, you can contact Bing Webmaster Support for a manual review.
Happy to help!
