    Hi there,

Whether your license includes Software Assurance (SA) depends on how and where it was purchased rather than on the product edition itself. Software Assurance is an optional add-on that provides benefits such as version upgrades, license mobility, disaster recovery rights, and 24/7 Microsoft support — but it’s not automatically included with every Windows Server license.

To verify whether your organization’s license includes SA, please:

Log in to the Volume Licensing Service Center.

Navigate to Licenses → Relationship Summary and review the column labeled Software Assurance or Coverage End Date.

If you do not see SA listed, it’s not currently active for your license.

If this information helps clarify your question, kindly click “Accept Answer” so others in the community can benefit from it as well

    Best regards,

    VP
