I currently have an MS 365 Personal account, dropping an extra $12 per month for Dropbox to store and sync files. I don't use OneDrive because it is an abysmal, half-baked product. Since Microsoft clearly doesn't understand how cloud technology works, I am looking at a modern cloud solution like Google Workspace. Has anyone compared it, especially Google Drive to Microsoft 363/OneDrive?

Hi David Cummins, thanks for sharing your thoughts. First, Microsoft 365 Personal offers full desktop apps like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, plus 1 TB of OneDrive storage. It’s a strong option if you need offline access and advanced features. Second, Google Workspace is more cloud-first, with real-time collaboration in Docs, Sheets, and Slides, and storage that scales with the plan. It integrates well with Gmail and Google Meet, making it ideal for teams that work entirely online. Last, if you prefer simplicity and browser-based tools, Google Workspace is a great choice, but if you rely on desktop apps and need tight Windows integration, Microsoft 365 remains the better fit.

I’ll provide links for official plan details and comparison charts so you can review the options in depth.
