My Windows Update settings are not showing up on the sidebar.

In my Windows settings app, the "Windows Update" tab that is supposed to be there does not show up, as seen in the image below.Screenshot 2025-10-16 161946

The other button that leads to the Windows Update tab doesn't do anything when clicked, and neither does the update button in the taskbar (The taskbar button just brings up the settings home page).User's image Please help me resolve this issue in any way possible, Thank You!

    Important: Please immediately remove the attached screenshot showing your personal email.

    • When was the last time it worked properly?
    • Have you made any changes to your computer recently?
    • What is your current Windows operating system and version? Press Windows key+R to open Run then type: winver Press Enter Please take a screenshot of the resulting window and post it in your next response.

    Open Registry Editor then navigate to this path

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

    Please check if "SettingsPageVisibility" string value is present in the right pane. If so, right click it then select Delete. Restart your computer

    If the issue still persists, please try performing an In-place Upgrade. It will definitely help in resolving update errors. Performing this can repair broken operating system files while your personal files, settings and installed applications will not be removed.

    Please let me know if you have tried the methods below.

    • Disable or uninstall any third-party VPN and Antivirus program to prevent it from interfering with the update.
    • Run the Windows Update Troubleshooter Open Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters > Windows Update > Run troubleshooter
    • Make sure Windows Update and Background Intelligent Transfer services are available and running.

    Press Windows key+R to open Run then type: services.msc

    Press Enter to open Services app

    Double-click Background Intelligent Transfer Service.

    If the Startup status lists Stopped, click Start and then click OK. If the status is Running, right click then select Restart

    Double-click Windows Update.

    If the Startup status lists Stopped, click Start and then click OK. If the status is Running, right click then select Restart

    If the issue persists, open Settings > System > Recovery.

    Few things to check on the PC

    • Unplug all external peripherals except for the Mouse, Keyboard, and LAN cable before starting
    • Disable or uninstall any third-party Antivirus program to prevent it from interfering with the upgrade

    Under Fix problems using Windows Update, click Reinstall Now

    Once completed, your system will restart.

    Thank you for telling me to hide my email (I just painted black over it)
    Here is my current windows version:User's image

    The registry string value you mentioned doesn't show up at that location.
    Also, if it has any impact on this, I did upgrade to Windows 11 from 10 last month using the installation assistant at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows11
