    Hi Greg,

I understand how frustrating it is when Windows Updates get stuck especially when you’re seeing multiple pending installs and a cumulative update that says “Installing – 0%” but doesn’t move forward. You’re doing the right thing by keeping your system updated, and it’s inconvenient when the process doesn’t cooperate.

This kind of issue usually happens when something interrupts the update process or when Windows Update components get stuck. Here are the most common causes:

Corrupted update files or temporary glitches in the update service.

Background services like Windows Installer or Update Orchestrator not running properly.

Insufficient disk space, especially for cumulative updates.

Conflicts with third-party antivirus or system optimization tools.

Network interruptions during the download or install phase.

Steps You Can Try to Fix It :

    Restart Your PC.

    Run Windows Update Troubleshooter.

    Clear Windows Update Cache

    Check Disk Space

Go to Settings > System > Storage and make sure you have at least 20 GB free for cumulative updates.

    Try Installing Updates Manually

    Visit the Microsoft Update Catalog

Search for the KB number of the stuck update and download it manually.

    Temporarily Disable Antivirus

Some third-party antivirus tools interfere with updates. Try disabling them temporarily and retrying the update.

If the issue persists, I can help you can check for update logs in Windows Update Reset Tool or System File Checker.

Let me know how it goes, Happy to assist you anytime!
