REVERT EXCEL IOS! 2025 UPDATE DOESN’T WORK

Is anyone else having issues with the new iOS update to Excel?

The app went from functioning, to completely useless overnight.

It freezes up, doesn’t load parts of my spreadsheets, doesn’t respond to clicks when selecting files. I have to constantly restart the app to get anywhere.

This is completely unacceptable that an update that bricks the app got released without proper testing.

    Hello, good day and thanks for your question. Sorry to know and apologies about this as others are reporting of the same issue and there are a couple of workaround that you can try and you can also check the below links for reference. It is still recommended to report this as a feedback via the app or leave a review at the App Store for this to get checked and hopefully a new update will be released soon to patch this issue.

    A hot fix solution that works for me with the least intrusive steps:

    Disable my wifi when it freezes and then enable it again. After doing this the app works fine until I restart it (Excel application?) again. I have also tried this using airplane mode toggle, least hassles solution so far, recommend to try this first!

    Hope this helps with all affected users and useful hint for MS to address the underlying issue.
