A family of Microsoft word processing software products for creating web, email, and print documents.
Hello Nadia Kilani, thanks for posting this in our community. I understand how frustrating it can be when a tool you rely on suddenly stops working, especially when everything else seems to be functioning normally on your other devices.
One possible solution is to offload the Microsoft Word app from your iPhone, which helps clear any corrupted cache or settings. You can do this by going to Settings, then General, then iPhone Storage. Find Microsoft Word, tap it, and choose Offload App. This will keep your documents but remove the app’s data. After that, reinstall Word from the App Store and sign in again.
Some users have also found that toggling the network settings can help unfreeze the app. When Word freezes, try turning on Airplane Mode for a few seconds, then turn it off again. This can sometimes restore editing functionality temporarily.
I also encourage you to report this issue directly to Microsoft using your iPhone. You can do this by opening Word, tapping your profile icon, and selecting Send Feedback. Be sure to describe the issue and include screenshots if possible so the team can better understand and address the problem.
Kind regards,
John Oli
