Hello i would like to ask you for help. After i updated OS on windows 11 from Windows 10, im having issues with my bluetooth headphones. They are connected but no sound is comming from them.

I reainstalled all my bluetooth and sound driver, updated the windows on newest version but nothing realy helped.

When i downgraded windows back on Windows 10 everything is working again.

Im facing this issues on all my PCs which are running on windows 11.

The bluetooth headphones ZEBUDS costs 100€ and im really angry that am no able to contact the Microsoft support for any help with this. Im sure am not only one person who hase thy type of issue.

Im IT guy so im not some common user of PC, i solved lot of issues builded lot of PCs but Windows 11 is really the worst system right now.

Can you help me what to do ?

    Hi,

Were you able to try this: first, check that Windows 11 is actually using your Bluetooth headphones as the default playback device by right-clicking the speaker icon and opening Sound settings, then under Output, select your Zebuds headphones. If they’re already selected but still silent, confirm that the Stereo (A2DP) profile is enabled rather than the low-quality “Hands-Free” profile by going to Device properties, Additional device properties, and Services. Next, try removing the headphones from Bluetooth settings, restarting the PC, and pairing them again, since Windows can sometimes assign the wrong audio profile on initial connection. Finally, check Optional Windows Updates under Settings, Windows Update, Advanced options, Optional updates, as some updates fix Bluetooth audio issues on Windows 11. This approach covers default device selection, proper audio profile, clean re-pairing, and system updates, which are the most common causes of sound not coming through after an OS upgrade.

    Kind regards,

I had this same shitty problem. My headphones worked fine but not my earphones I could hear the beep meaning it connected but no sound when video played. I tried messing with bluetooth settings but nothing. But then I did CTRL + R and wrote mmsys.cpl

I messed with recording and playback disabling them and turning off and it did something and i could hear audio (make sure you have a video playing in background). But if I close this application then same problem no sound. I basically went to recording section and enabled headset for my earphones and could hear sound its all bc of stupid win update

    Hi,

I’m sorry that the issue is still happening even after all your efforts. You can try one more simple step while waiting for an official fix: use the generic Microsoft Bluetooth driver instead of your device’s default one. To do this, open Device Manager, right-click your Bluetooth adapter, choose "Update driver," select “Browse my computer," then "Let me pick from a list,” and choose Generic Bluetooth Adapter. This sometimes helps because the generic driver can handle audio pairing more reliably on Windows 11.

    Kind regards.

    Hi,

Since your headphones are connecting but producing no sound, try this: first, reset the Bluetooth audio service by pressing Win + R, typing services.msc, finding Bluetooth Support Service, setting its startup type to Automatic, and restarting it, this ensures Windows properly hands audio over to connected devices. Next, run the Windows Audio Troubleshooter by going to Settings, System, Troubleshoot, Other troubleshooters, Playing Audio while the headphones are connected, which can reinitialize audio routing. Finally, check for known Windows 11 Bluetooth issues by reviewing optional updates or rolling back Bluetooth drivers in Device Manager if available, because some Windows 11 builds have compatibility problems with certain A2DP stereo profiles. These steps focus on resetting system services, troubleshooting audio pathways, and addressing OS-level compatibility, which are common causes when sound doesn’t reach Bluetooth headphones after an upgrade.

    Kind regards,
