I am a home user with Office 365 and want to set up audio/visual meetings with friends in German and USA etc. Who do not have MS Teams on their devices. For those with PCs I would like to send the invite to their Email and for them to join by clicking on the link and selecting use the browser. For those on say and Android phone in Email or in WhatsApp click on the URL link to the meeting and then it should open. When I use TEAMS OWA with my MS account. I use New Meeting and add their Email address (if they have one) but it doesn't seem to send the Email There is NO SEND button as some MS documents on Teams imply. I can Save the meeting and then somehow get the link and send this to them. I saved the link and by Email sent it to my Android phone. Clicked on the link and said join meeting BUT it wanted me to install Teams kept sending me to Play Store. I thought you should get a screen that says do you want to install TEAMS you say No and then you click join with Browser. This is what I've seen in videos! I am trying to use this have video meetings with others instead of using ZOOM but it doesn't seem to be that easy or work as I expect. If you are in an organisation where you use TEAMS then it seems to work better even though you should be able to invite someone from outside the organisation and who doesn't have TEAMS and may even use a SMART Android or iPhone.

    Hi,

You can try this: instead of relying on the automatic email invite from Teams, first create your meeting in Teams (via OWA or the desktop app) and copy the "Join Microsoft Teams Meeting" link from the meeting details. Then, manually send that link via Email, WhatsApp, or any messaging app to your friends. On a PC, recipients can click the link and choose "Join on the web instead" if they don’t have Teams installed. On Android or iPhone, it’s a bit trickier because Teams usually prompts for the app; if it redirects to the app store, try opening the link in a mobile browser like Chrome or Safari, and then select "Join on the web instead" when prompted. Make sure to advise your friends to allow pop-ups and permissions for microphone and camera in the browser. This method bypasses the need for them to install Teams while still allowing audio/video participation.

    Kind regards,

It is not possible to join a Teams meeting on Android phone in a browser. Teams for Web is not supported on mobile devices.
