I am getting an error every time I try to update my Microsoft apps on my Mac. The apps seem to update, showing installed on October 29, 2025 latest, but the error states that Microsoft error reporting has an error. It shows that I ave an installed date of November 19, 2012. How can I download and install the latest update for error reporting so that it will autoupdate without further errors? This is happening on all my mac computers. Thanks

I right clicked and clicked "Show in Finder" as you showed and it worked! I simply deleted the offending file and everything seems to be normal now. Is there a modern version of error reporting in Office 365?
Again, many thanks for your help. :-)
I had a similar problem. I finally found if I click directly on the error symbol next to the encircled red exclamation mark, i get the option "show in finder".
I'm on Mac OS Tahoe 26.0.1, Apple Silicon Mac (M3). In my version of MS Auto Update 4.8.1, you can't right click on anything. I attempted to totally uninstall Office 365 and reinstall the apps and I'm still getting the error about Version 2.2 installed 14 Jan 2019 (I didn't even have this computer then). I can update the other apps in Office 365 but not this one. Does anyone have any other suggestions that might help? Thank you to everyone for any suggestions you may have. :-)
The simple autoupdate reinstall did not correct the problem, but I right clicked on the error message showing all the updates for each Microsoft product, then clicked on "Show in Finder". I then deleted the folder for error reporting. Then I installed the package provided above and everything now updates as it should. Thanks to all that helped.
