I used to have a desktop menu option on windows 10 taskbar (left hand corner of the taskbar) which when clicked, gives all the files and folders on the desktop and it made drag and drop super easy. I cannot seem to find this option on windows 11.

One more Q - Why cant i move my taskbar to the left edge of my screen? i am a left hander and on win10 i had the taskbar on the left hand side which proved very efficient, however on win11 it doesnt allow me to move the taskbar. Any solutions to this?

If you are referring to the button on the Windows 10 taskbar that showed a menu listing all files and folders on the Desktop, that was the Toolbars option on the Taskbar, that function is not supported on the Windows 11 taskbar, which has limited functionality compared to the Taskbar in Windows 10, also, the ability to move the Taskbar in Windows 11 is not available, it is locked to the bottom of the screen, there are some 3rd party utilities available online that claim to be able to move the Taskbar in Windows 11.

Microsoft are continuing to add new functionality to the taskbar in Windows 11, so the toolbars option like the Desktop may be added back, but they have indicated they do not intend to bring back the option to move the taskbar in Windows 11.

In Windows 11, the option to show the desktop by clicking the far corner of the taskbar is still available, but it may not be as prominent as it was in Windows 10. You can enable this feature by adjusting the settings in the taskbar personalization options. To do this, go to Settings > Personalization > Taskbar and look for the option related to showing the desktop.

As for moving the taskbar to the left edge of the screen, Windows 11 currently does not support moving the taskbar to the left or right sides of the screen. The taskbar is fixed to the bottom of the screen, which is a change from previous versions of Windows. Unfortunately, there are no built-in solutions to move it to the left side as you could in Windows 10.
