In Outlook 365 the Notifications settings are in General. Go to Settings > General > Notifications > Notify me about. You have to enable mail notifications and then under New email enable Show an envelope badge in the taskbar.

I found it by searching settings for envelope.

    Good luck!

    Hello, thanks for reaching out.

Is Outlook running while you’re expecting new mail alerts? If yes, open Outlook and go to File > Options > Mail, then under Message arrival, check “Show an envelope icon in the taskbar.” Also, in Windows Settings > System > Notifications, make sure Outlook notifications are turned on.

If the icon still doesn’t show, go to Settings > Personalization > Taskbar > Taskbar corner overflow, and turn on Outlook.
