Additional settings-related features and issues within Microsoft Teams for business
Hello @john wick
Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A Forum.
To better assist you, could you please confirm the following steps? These checks will help us identify why Teams isn’t opening automatically after startup:
1. Verify Teams Settings
Open Microsoft Teams and go to Settings > General.
Please make sure Auto-start Teams is enabled:
2. Check Windows Startup Settings
Sometimes Windows overrides the in-app settings. To confirm:
- Go to Settings > Apps > Startup
- Locate Microsoft Teams and ensure the toggle is set to On
3. Check Windows Startup Apps Settings
Sometimes, Windows itself overrides the in-app setting. You need to ensure Teams is enabled in the Task Manager or Windows Settings.
- Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
- Click on the "Startup apps" tab (it might be under "More details" if you have the simple view).
- Find Microsoft Teams in the list.
- If the "Status" column says "Disabled", right-click on it and select "Enable".
After completing these steps, restart your computer and see if Teams opens automatically. If the issue persists, please let us know and we’ll continue troubleshooting together.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation!
