Whenever I open the camera app, it says this: "We can't find your camera. Check to make sure it's connected and installed properly, that it isn't being blocked by antivirus software, and that your camera drivers are up to date." The end of that sentence isn't relevant. I'm pretty sure it's connected and installed properly; otherwise, how do I check that? I've looked for a blocker and can't seem to find one. If there is one, where would I find it? And I think the drivers are up to date, but where would I check that as well?

Look at the function keys (F1 - F12) on your keyboard, if one of them has a camera icon, press that key or Fn + that key to unlock the webcam.

    2

If that was not the problem, look at the camera lens above your screen, is there a small privacy slider that needs to be opened to access the webcam?

If the webcam is still not working, go to the support page for your laptop on the manufacturers website, then from there, download and re-install the version of webcam drivers they provide

Hi. I’m experiencing an issue with my built-in camera on Windows 11. Despite enabling all privacy settings and reinstalling the Qualcomm(R) Spectra(TM) 695 ISP Camera Device via Device Manager, the camera still fails to activate.

The QC Front Camera preview in system settings shows: “Camera preview failed to start”

Online tests (e.g., WebcamTests.com) cannot detect the camera

I’ve tried restarting, updating drivers, and disabling Windows Studio Effects, but nothing has resolved the issue

Could you please advise on how to restore camera functionality or whether a specific driver update is needed? Thanks.
